What you will learn:
1) Body awareness: balanced posture, feet/toes/hands/fingers alignment, full body coordination, mirrored and assisted exercises
2) Slow and mindful yoga flows for self-practice
3) Yogic philosophy and its practical uses
4) Asana anatomy workshops, covering body systems and energy pathways
5) How to use props such as bolsters, blocks, belts, and blankets
6) Integral Yoga approach - transitioning from the mat to a lifestyle
Each class incorporates traditional yogic teachings:
- Bandhas - energy gateways within the body
- Asanas - poses that enhance energy flow
- Pranayama - breathing techniques
- Prana Vayus - insights into energy currents
- Drishti - focusing the gaze
- Yoga Sutras of Patanjali - the 8 limbs of yoga and the klesas
- Sangha feeling - connecting with like-minded individuals
- Mantra chanting - Gayatri / Paramantra OM
